The Throttle Shed entrance - Photo by Cecelia
If you are looking for an escape not too far from the city, The Throttle Shed in One Tree Hill is quite unique. This cafe is motor bike-themed, from the metal roofing expanse, all the way to the collection of curios and memorabilia on the wall.
The set up is also suitable for social distancing, as they have several dining areas, including indoor tables, an alfresco area under the sails, and an open under-cover area down the side.
Meals include their famous breakfast, and scrambled eggs, starting from $12. Breakfast is served until 12:30 pm. Lunch options include chicken strips, chips, toasted sandwiches, and kranskies. The avocado and egg muffin is worth a try, as it has a real slice of avocado, not just a wisp of spread!.
Coffee and tea are available, and there are a range of cakes, biscuits and slices in the glass counter. So, whether you like to bike, or just to eat, give the place a visit!
