In our current unpredictable climate, the Casey Cardinia community has risen to the challenge and shown great resilience and entrepreneurial spirit.
Casey Cardinia is regarded as one of Australia's fastest-growing regions and the local small businesses have adapted and taken vital steps to innovate their practices.
Thrive Together is an exciting digital event which will showcase a selection of the region's small businesses and discuss how these practices can be developed and implemented within your own business.
Held on Friday 22 May at 12pm with MC Debra Templar, there will also be additional resources for participants, including how to include mindfulness into your workday in simple, constructive ways.
The schedule for Thrive Together is as follows:
12:00pm: Event Welcome
12:10pm: Grace Brennan, Founder of Buy From the Bush
1:00pm: Local Business Panel
1:45pm: Insight Into Innovation & Guided Networking
2:30pm: Event End
The event will kick off with Grace Brennan, founder of the 'Buy from The Bush' campaign.
While living on a sheep station in Warren, NSW, Grace Brennan saw firsthand the damage the drought was causing to local businesses and the broader community. Fuelled by her desire to solve problems and help local businesses, Buy from The Bush was founded. Within 6 weeks, her campaign raised over $2.6 million in revenue, resulting in smiles on the faces of those affected and a sigh of relief for farmer's wives and families.
Join Grace as she takes you on a journey of how the Buy from The Bush campaign came to be, and how it grew into a successful entity. Be inspired and learn how practical solutions and a strong community spirit in times of crisis, can keep business moving forward.
An engaging Local Business Panel will follow. This is an opportunity to hear from local business owners as they divulge their innovative practices to adjust to the current climate and market challenges.
Led by MC, Debra Templar, the panel will explore the business challenges they have faced and how re-evaluating business practices and services have helped them continue to thrive as a business.
The event will conclude with an Innovation Workshop & Guided Networking. Event MC Debra Templar will discuss innovation and help us to understand how it can be developed and implemented within your own businesses.
Participants can also engage in an open discussion amongst the group and share their own stories of adaptation and survival. This session also encourages attendees to problem-solve with peers and is the perfect opportunity to develop innovative business practices of your own with like-minded people.
Participants will also receive a mindfulness pack which explains the benefits of meditation and teaches five easy ways that you can practically incorporate mindfulness into your workday. These resources can help business owners to de-stress, regain focus and improve overall mental health.
It is FREE to participate in the Thrive Together but organisers have asked ticket holders to pledge to support local in lieu of ticket fee.
