You'll find Thresherman's Bakehouse on Faraday Street in Carlton, not far from Melbourne and RMIT universities.
Thresherman's is large and open-planned. It's a bit like a giant school cafeteria except there's a huge array of options and none of them are bad – though I'd be lying if I described any of the meals as gourmet. There's a rustic feel to the place and a home-style flavour to the food.
I did come across this issue while Googling Thresherman's, but it's in the past, so I won't mention it.
I had a spinach and ricotta pie (nicely spiced) and a pumpkin salad (perfectly cooked) the other day for about $8.
I live near and I am so upset that Thresherman’s closed. I loved having brunch there on the weekends. Now all we have is Brunetti which is dirty, noisy, overcrowded, overpriced, overrated with worse service and a horrible atmosphere. I waited an hour for my food and was told that they forgot my food. I demanded a refund and made it clear that I wouldn’t be back and I haven’t. This closing is so bad for us.
