The lovely thing about Geelong is that there is always something new popping up in some little corner. Walking down Pakington Street, I discovered Three Little Figs.

I did a double take when I first saw the name. Was it cafe that specialised in roast meats (misreading the name, obviously)? Or did it focus on vegetarian cuisine? Upon closer inspection, and also because I was craving caffeine, I noticed that it was a bright, homey-chic cafe with quirky wall decor and a simple and decent menu at reasonable prices. The food was familiar and comforting, incorporating fresh, healthy ingredients that did not come from a can. As I was on the move, I ordered a latte and a felafel wrap to go. The coffee was creamy and robust enough for me, and the falefel wrap was toasty and filling. Perfect to keep you going for the rest of the afternoon!

The cafe is compact with little touches and decor that will keep you entertained throughout your meal. It also has a small al fresco seating area, perfect for enjoying the autumn sun. It has been quite popular with the locals, pulling in the crowds both at breakfast and lunch. Checking out their online menu made my mouth water, and I will definitely be retuning to this cosy cafe to sink my teeth into their main meals!
