Three Crazy Cocktails from China

I have come across some really crazy cocktails on my travels. But by asking friends, doing research, and through my own experience I believe I have found three of the craziest cocktails you could ever imagine, and they all come from the same place...China!

Firstly we have:

Lizard wine. This is made by fermenting Ginseng, Gecko lizards, and rice wine in a clay vat for a year. Sounds disgusting doesn't it? But this carefully crafted cocktail is actually said to ward off evil spirits. The end result is supposed to be a greenish liquid, but with this concoction, I suppose anything could happen.

If that wasn't bad enough, next we have:

Baby mouse wine. Yes you read it right, baby mice! This strange cocktail is supposed to be good for your health and cure many problems, like asthma and liver problems. But you are braver than me if you are willing to try this strange recipe. Like lizard wine, this cocktail ferments baby mice and wine for one year.

Finally and most strangely:

Deer penis wine. Yes you heard it right; this drink is made by fermenting penises in wine. Sounds disgusting and I can definitely say this is not one I will be willing to taste. However, this strange drink is said to cure many injuries and was even banned from the 2008 Beijing Olympics for that reason.
