Flim-flam to glam, bargains on racks and in stacks
Moonta, Copper Coast, enjoys three amazing op-shops in one small town. They are not as centrally located as some and a bit of local knowledge helps if you're out to find something special at an incredible price.
Annie's Op Shop, Moonta, corner of Milne Tce and Blanche Tce
Annie's op shop is housed in a gorgeous stone church hall beside the beautiful All Saints church. At Annie's, Milne Tce, expect to find racks and shelves packed to capacity with good clean second-hand clothing and household soft furnishings. Run by friendly volunteers, open hours are quite limited so get in there if you can on a Tuesday open 9:30am - 1:30pm.
At Revamp Op Shop, on Ryan St, Moonta, beside Shippy's hardware, you will find quality, clean, pre-loved fashion clothing, on well-organized racks and shelves. Prices are higher than the other Copper Coast op shops but the collection is carefully curated for discerning shoppers. Expect to find items for $12 or so. An adjoining shop is packed full of household vintage and retro bargains in Revamp's second-hand furnishings store. Open Monday to Saturday, 10:00am - 4:00pm.
The Red Cross Op Shop on Ellen St, Moonta, is the most centrally located, with car parking immediately across the road if you can't find a street park. Prices tend to be a little higher than the charity op shops in other Copper Coast towns, but not by much. Quality may be a little variable here. Open Monday - Friday 9:30am - 4:00pm, and Saturday 9:30am - 2:00pm. There are bakeries and cafes and boutique shops in the vicinity, so have a stroll around Moonta while you're here!
