There's no holiday like a snow holiday! Thredbo has you covered this July school holidays with the July Kids Snow Festival supported by Aspen Snowmass. Running from Monday, July 1st - Friday, July 19th, you'll find fun activities for kids of all ages at Thredbo. In fact, the hashtag for the event is #kidsrunthredbo so kids, get excited to rule the mountain!

There are snow many activities to keep the kids entertained, and perhaps even give the guardians a break. As the kids dominate the mountain, their families are encouraged to take snaps of their day and share them to Instagram, from 9am - 3pm, with the hashtag #kidsrunthredbo and tag @thredboresort to go into the running to win great family prizes. Photo entries submitted between July 1 - 13 and July 15 - 19 are eligible to win. Winners will be contacted on Instagram with further details.
Try your hand at Winter Disc Golf. Disc golf traditionally involves throwing discs towards targets such as baskets and made up of 9 or 18 holes. The winner is the player with the fewest throws. Winter weather adds a whole new challenging dimension to this game. Competitions run daily at the Winter Disc Golf Park from July 1 - 19, 10am - 3pm.

If you like to play your odds, Winter Bingo will be held daily at the Thredbo Information Centre. Grab a free bingo sheet and round up the troupes for some family-friendly fun. From 9am - 3pm, July 1 - 19.
Right next door to the bingo arena you can browse a range of sports memorabilia used throughout the ages at the Retro Snow Museum, Thredbo Museum. Open daily for browsing (except Mondays) in the afternoons, hours subject to change.
For those who are feeling creatively inspired by the snow and want to express their artistic abilities, try Thredboland Ceramics. There will be free ceramic painting from 3pm - 4pm, 1 - 13 & 15 - 19 July at Friday Flat Igloo. Keep creating in the Kids Snowman Arts & Craft sessions from 4pm - 5pm.

Here's one for the adults and the kids. Adults can drop off their kids at Thredboland, Kids Pizza Movie Night. Kids can enjoy dinner and movie under the supervision of professional staff and the best part is, it's free! Movie nights will be held on July 1, 3, 8, 10, 15 & 17 of July, from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. So adults, make those dinner reservations or date night plans on any of those evenings.
Encourage your child's imagination and let them channel their favourite characters and creatures at the Kids Face Painting sessions. There will be six face painting sessions across the holidays held at Friday Flat Bistro. (When: 4pm - 5:30pm, July 4, 5, 6, 11, 18 & 19.)

An unmissable event for the kids of intermediate riding level and above, is the Torah Bright Mini Shred on July 14, 9:30am - 3pm. Torah Bright and her friends will be taking riders through the Friday Flat Private Terrain Park. Take on a jump, extend your skills to a 180 or 360, even learn how to slide a rail or box. This mini terrain park has been designed with the kids in mind. There will even be a sausage sizzle at 12pm, a DJ providing tunes for the day and giveaways thanks to Roxy, Rhythm Snow Sports and Aspen Snowmass. Torah and the coaches will also be holding a signing session, so bring along your gear! Kids aged 17 and under with a minimum of intermediate riding ability can join in on the action. Helmets are compulsory on the ride. The ride is free but you must register to ride! Register here. Also, the ride requires parental supervision. Remember, every rider should bring water! If you think that's enough fun to fulfil your holidays, just wait, there's more. With Aspen S'mores! From 3pm - 5pm daily at Friday Flat Igloo and Fire Pits, enjoy the tradition of s'mores with the addition of Lindt Chocolate.
Enjoy the fun of Giant Games, held 1 - 13 July & 15 - 19 July outside Friday Flat Bistro. Kids and their families can enjoy giant Jenga, Connect Four, Noughts & Crosses and much more. Play from 10am - 4pm daily.
Family Fun Nights will be held each Thursday across the festival (that's the 4th, 11th & 18th of July). From 4pm - 5:30pm there will be games and prizes, music and dancing. Have a hug and selfie with the Thredboland Animals each Family Fun Night at 4:45pm at the Friday Flat Clock Tower. The Thredboland Animals will also put on a parade. To top of the Family Fun Night Extravaganza there will be Fireworks and Kids Only Flare Runs! The Kids Only Flare Runs will take place at dusk at the Friday Flat Slope and it really is kids only. SnowSport instructors will take all of the participants to the top of the Easy Does It Chairlift and parents can watch from the gentle slope base as their kids shred down the mountain with their own LED flare. Flares are available for purchase from the Thredbo retail store. No ski poles or parents permitted on the run.

There will be more family fun at the Family Apres, held each Thursday and Saturday across the festival from 4pm - 7pm. Imagine a winter wonderland filled with snow, sparkling lights and tinkling music to delight. There will be kid-friendly activities and extravagant hot chocolates. The event encourages family's to enjoy some outdoor winter fun with the kids (Friday Flat Bistro, July 4, 6, 11, 13 &18). For the riders that just can't get enough time on the mountain during the day, there will be Free Twilight Riding on the Friday Flat Slope from 4:30pm - 7pm. At approximately 6pm on July 4, 6, 11, 13 & 18, make sure you step outside and look up. Witness a dazzling display of colours light up the sky with the fireworks display.
