One of Melbourne CBD's most interesting spaces sits right in the heart of the city on Little Lonsdale Street.

Thousand Pound Bend , which has claimed its spot from an old Peter Stevens motorbike repair garage, is everything you need from a cafe to a gallery to a cinema to an art exhibition to a marketplace to a bar to a place for dinner.

Upstairs Space
Upstairs, you can hold private functions - I had the delight of attending a long table dinner for a showcase of Eastern Peake wines, delish.

But not only a function space, this upstairs 'loft' that shows off the New York style warehouse quality with exposed brickwork and ceilings, hosts artist exhibitions and cinema viewings. Keep up to date with what's going on by subscribing to Thousand Pound Bend, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

The Warehouse
This massive space just pops out of nowhere. The Thousand Pound crew use this space for events, an independent market on the last Sunday of every month... well you can basically use it for anything.

The Every Day Cafe/Drinks Space
Head in any time, 7 days a week for cheap pots, cheap eats, and a very cool relaxed atmosphere. Bar staff are great, very helpful. I had my 25th with a bunch of mates just sitting around, lapping up the atmosphere until close. Ordering some pizzas in to keep us going (their kitchen had closed) was no issue. Cruisy.

Monday night is also independent artist night, so be sure to head down to listen to some live music.

Highly recommended.
