Rituals, regrets and relatives
'This Jew Sits' is a solo show created by Sarah Reuben and Ruby Gaytime at the Melbourne Fringe Festival from 24 September to 1 October. Book your tickets now online at www.melbournefringe.com.au.
Sarah plays "This Jew", a character who is confronted by the experience of sitting with a dead relative; the Jewish ritual of guarding the dead from the time they die, until they are buried. It's a new show and a dark account of when 'reality bites', stops you in your tracks, and forces you to consider your own mortality.
This show may sound morbid, but I suspect it will be full of laughs, surprises, perhaps a few tears and some profanity. So make sure you add this show to your Melbourne Fringe bucket list!
