Port Melbourne. Station pier. Sunny weather. You know the picture well.

It is also possible that you have felt the warmth on your forearms as you walk down the street, happy that you remembered your sunglasses.

Third Wave Cafe has apparently gone through a few changes lately and boasts a Russian influence on some of its food items. Modern decor inside accompanied by ample outdoor seating. Coffee, focaccias, juices, salads, you know the drill.

Brazil Blue. Espresso.
The espresso was nice and hot, just the way all espressos should be. Smooth and syrupy texture with a little creaminess, it's body wasn't as full as I had hoped, but what can you do. Some caramels hints flirted with my tongue but for long. There was a light chocolate taste and back of my tongue was gripped with 'that' flavour of coffee.

Dark Horse. Espresso.
I preferred this to the Brazil Blue. It was very light and refreshing. A slight citrus taste at the end of each sip with a slight bitterness on the wings of my tongue.

Russian Salad
I would marry this salad. This had the perfect combination of everything. Carrots potatoes, chicken, egg, pickles. Goodness me.

Overall?
Service was pretty good. Friendly and attentive. They have fresh water available. A lot of space, fridges, newspapers, communal tables and coffee tables. Spots to sit outside too!

At the end of the day, Third Wave Cafe is a nice place to go and enjoy yourself.
