On Saturday 17 November, from 10am-4pm, the Think Well Be Well Festival will be held at Justin Park, Burleigh Heads. Put together by the Gold Coast Branch of the Australian Psychological Society, it's aim is to promote National Psychology Week and good mental health.
Headlining the live entertainment portion of the schedule will be funk band
Electrik Lemonade. Also performing will be
Mayan Fox. Calling themselves "exotic pop" this band have a number of high-profile support slots to pride themselves on, including Thirsty Merc and Jet. The third original band performing is
Mr Speaker, a hip hop, funk and soul band that will get you dancing.
Organisations confirmed to be in attendance at the festival include
Lifeline,
Relationships Australia,
Gold Coast Drug Council,
Griffith University and
Queensland Health. There will be family entertainment, information for seniors as well as booths for specific mental health needs and interests, to ensure a well-rounded community offering.
