Coventry Street
Looking to furnish your home? Coventry street has a number of unique home furnishing stores ranging from Japanese to Middle Eastern style decorative appliances. This street is a creative butterfly's dream, with stores perfect for interior design, crafts and ideas. Also, if home shopping gets you hungry (there is something wrong with you if it doesn't), there are a number of nice dining restaurants and cafes lining the street. If you're feeling the urge to cook for the day, it is merely a short walk down the street to the South Melbourne markets.

South Melbourne Markets
Located on Coventry and Cecil Streets in the heart of South Melbourne, the Markets are always a lively place to find yourself on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays 8am-4pm and Fridays 8am-5pm. This large market supplies its customers with fresh produce, quality products and variety from its many stores. Not only can you find fruit and veg, but seafood, meat, Chinese groceries, bakeries, fashion, flowers, restaurants and I even spotted a Polish deli. Click here for more information.

Albert Park

The home of the Grand Prix, any other time of the year Albert Park is quite a peaceful area to find yourself. With it's open spaces, flush trees and green grass next to its famous lake, it is a perfect area to have a nice stroll, or if your feeling particularly guilty that day, a run or cycle. On sunny days, many Victorians also make use of it's beach front, where it is always fun to gaze enviously at the yacht goers on the water. There are also many nice stores and cafes to see located on Bridport Street and Victoria Avenue.

'The Block' houses

South Melbourne is the humble home of 2012's The Block houses. Located on 401, 403, 405 and 407 Dorcas Road it is a short walk from the South Melbourne markets. Witness the polished exteriors of the causes of contestants, Dan and Danni, Brad and Lara, Sophie and Dale and Mike and Andrew, stresses and joys. Although, you might not want to check out the interior without risk of a restraining order from the current owners!
