Spoil Your Father This Father's Day
Father's Day
The one day of the year that you thoroughly spoil your Dad and possibly take him out for lunch!

Not sure what to do with your special Dad or Granddad this Father's Day 2017 in Perth? There are many places in Perth which cater for special Father's Day lunches. The ones I have put together will be interesting and each one has a particular reason why I chose it.

ESPLANADE HOTEL
FATHER'S DAY MAN TEA
This one appeals to me as thought has gone into the naming of it, and it is advertised as being in FreMANtle, and they believe there is nothing manlier than "enjoying high tea on Father's Day".

This only occurs if you go to FreMANtle Father's Day High Tea at the Ball & Chain which is situated in the Esplanade Hotel.

Here you and your Dad will enjoy ice cold beers, live music and slot car racing as well as a tasty man platter featuring the following:

A pulled pork with slaw burger
Fries
Chunky beef pie
Captivating chicken wings
Messy meatballs
Pleasurable bucket of prawns
Pecan and bourbon pie to top it all off

You can view the whole menu here.

ADDRESS
Esplanade Hotel
46 Marine Terrace
Fremantle

COST
$38 per person for food
or $62 per person including four tinnies.

CAVERSHAM HOUSE
Caversham House Presents Father's Day Lunch. Here you can forget the "socks and jocks" this year and treat your Dad to a gourmet lunch to remember.

Located in the fantastic Swan Valley, you can spoil your Dad by taking him for this exotic lunch in a hopefully beautiful spring day.

They will have what they describe as:
Mouth watering wood-fired rotisserie & bbq with sensational
sauces
Salads and sides
Spectacular LIVE seafood paella
Their legendary dessert

This is touted as an outdoor live food BBQ station and rotisserie with porcetta, pork roast with crackling (who can resist this?), plus more. Should the weather not be a typical spring day, the lunch will be held in a marquee where the live cooking stations are unable to be inside.

And if that is not tempting enough they are also taking individual bookings for an alfresco A La Carte Father's Day lunch. They will also have live entertainment to set the mood for a glorious afternoon set in the beautiful gardens of Caversham House. This will be a fully licensed lunch, and no BYO permitted.

CAPTAIN COOK CRUISES
And now for something different, as Monty Python would say, why not take your Dad on a cruise on the Swan River instead of staying on dry land? Many Dads just love the buffet breakfast and lunch cruises that Captain Cook Cruises put on.

There is great truth in the saying "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach", and to show Dad how much he means to you, why not spoil him with a Barbeque Buffet Lunch on the beautiful Swan River. You can see sights that you will only see when viewed from the Swan River, as you cruise the calm waters between Fremantle and Perth.

Cruise past sights including Perth's impressive Bell Tower, the restored Swan Brewery, Kings Park, Royal Perth Yacht Club, the magnificent homes overlooking the river and Fremantle's busy inner harbour. While you are doing this, you will be able to have a barbecue lunch including:

Cajun chicken wings

Complemented by an assortment of fresh seasonal salads and
cold buffet dishes

With a choice of about 70 different places, you can go through the establishments and foods at this site.

If food is not something "special" for YOUR Dad, then why not take him to the Perth Observatory.

This observatory has about a hundred years of history and offers a fantastic experience and particularly so if it is a clear night, though they still have tours on cloudy nights!

They have night tours or you can go on a guided day tour through the Observatory during the day, and you will be shown the grounds, telescopes (both old fashioned and new).

Here, your Dad can attempt to go sand boarding, or if that is a bit daring, you can hire a quad bike or four wheel drive, and go up over "them thar" hills.
