Not sure what to do with your special Dad or Granddad this Father's Day 2017 in Perth? There are many places in Perth which cater for special Father's Day lunches. The ones I have put together will be interesting and each one has a particular reason why I chose it.
ESPLANADE HOTEL FATHER'S DAY MAN TEA
This one appeals to me as thought has gone into the naming of it, and it is advertised as being in FreMANtle, and they believe there is nothing manlier than "enjoying high tea on Father's Day".
This only occurs if you go to FreMANtle Father's Day High Tea at the Ball & Chain which is situated in the Esplanade Hotel.
Mouth watering wood-fired rotisserie & bbq with sensational
Salads and sides
Spectacular LIVE seafood paella
Their legendary dessert
This is touted as an outdoor live food BBQ station and rotisserie with porcetta, pork roast with crackling (who can resist this?), plus more. Should the weather not be a typical spring day, the lunch will be held in a marquee where the live cooking stations are unable to be inside.
And if that is not tempting enough they are also taking individual bookings for an alfresco A La Carte Father's Day lunch. They will also have live entertainment to set the mood for a glorious afternoon set in the beautiful gardens of Caversham House. This will be a fully licensed lunch, and no BYO permitted.
141 Caversham Avenue
11:30 am – 4:00 pm
$65 per person
$35 per child (2-9 years old)
Drinks not included in this price

CAPTAIN COOK CRUISES
And now for something different, as Monty Python would say, why not take your Dad on a cruise on the Swan River instead of staying on dry land? Many Dads just love the buffet breakfast and lunch cruises that Captain Cook Cruises put on.
There is great truth in the saying "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach", and to show Dad how much he means to you, why not spoil him with a Barbeque Buffet Lunch on the beautiful Swan River. You can see sights that you will only see when viewed from the Swan River, as you cruise the calm waters between Fremantle and Perth.
Cruise past sights including Perth's impressive Bell Tower, the restored Swan Brewery, Kings Park, Royal Perth Yacht Club, the magnificent homes overlooking the river and Fremantle's busy inner harbour. While you are doing this, you will be able to have a barbecue lunch including:
Cajun chicken wings
Barbeque sirloin with rosemary and garlic
Complemented by an assortment of fresh seasonal salads and
cold buffet dishes
Freshly brewed Yahava coffee from the Swan Valley
Soft drinks and orange juice.
They will also be offering a special beer tasting for all fathers on board, with full cash bar facilities to purchase further drinks if you wish. There will also be door prizes, reserved seating and a keepsake for all Fathers to take home.

If you want to go near the Perth Hills, then the Parkerville Tavern has consistently good food, pleasant surroundings and most Dads will feel at home here. The Management claim that "DADDY-O! YOU'RE THE MAN" for this special day! The Parkerville Tavern staff will ensure your Dad is treated like a king this Father's Day.
Whether your Dad is an early riser, more of a lunch time fan, or perhaps even a late snacker type, you can get a meal at the Parkerville Tavern. They will be OPEN ALL DAY for breakfast, lunch and dinner and you will be able to eat inside or outside. For lunch and dinner, they offer the Chef's specially prepared Father's Day Roast Lamb with all the trimmings or you can choose from the weekend A La Carte menu.
Also available all day will be their delicious wood fired pizzas and for something a bit more casual, you can get a hot pork and gravy roll. There is heaps to choose from including a kid's menu. They will also have live music from the wonderful FUNKOUSTIC TRIO from 3 pm to 6 pm and a Father's Day Esky full of goodies to be won on the day!

THE OLD BREWERY
For something a bit more upmarket for your Dad, The Old Brewery is a fantastic place to go. They will have a special lunch for the Dads (and the rest of the family) at this Perth icon. It was, of course, the old Swan Brewery for many years, until it was rebuilt and set up as a restaurant, right on the Swan River and just a few minutes drive from the City Centre.
Combining history with relaxed and contemporary dining, the Old Brewery Grill is modern and has all that our State has to offer in fresh produce, fabulous food and friendly staff to ensure your day with Dad is a success.
With top chefs, the Old Brewery puts on delightful meals which are always so well presented and taste so good!

The Quarie Bar and Brasserie opened its doors in late 2011 and now has a reputation for a friendly, stylish eating place which has an impressive beer, wine and cocktail list that complements a modern menu.

EATING AT HOME WITHOUT COOKING
Perhaps your Dad is happier having lunch or dinner at home in his own peaceful surroundings rather than going out on HIS day? This can also be catered for, without having to do any work other than pick up the phone and order meals!
With a choice of about 70 different places, you can go through the establishments and foods at this site.
And there is also this site, so you even have a choice of where you order from.
These places are great as you have a large choice and Dad can decide what he wants to eat in the comfort of his own lounge chair.
LANCELIN SAND DUNES
If your father is young or young at heart, then take him where he will find adventure while pushing up his adrenaline.
The Lancelin Sand Dunes have angles of 45 degrees making this an extreme sport for anyone, with dunes that are up to three storeys high. Here you will find pristine, white sand which attracts people from everywhere.
There is such a vast array of things you can do with your Dad this Father's Day, and I have given you a small example of just twelve of these.
Your Dad deserves to be able to pick where he wants to go on his special day, but as there will be many people taking their Dad out on this day, make sure you make enquiries and book early to avoid disappointment.
