Staying at home could be the norm for some, but yet a real challenge for others. This is understandable in the current times we live in, especially during a lockdown. Here are some suggestions of the things you might consider doing while staying at home.
Maintaining a daily routine
Make yourself a plan for each day which includes meal times and sleep schedules. Set some achievable goals for tasks such as work or study.
Keep in touch with others through regular online contact. Use apps such as Skype, Zoom, FaceTime, etc. Or, if you're not technologically prepared, simply just use the phone.
Incorporate physical activity into your day. Walking is great, especially in nature, and some of the best short walks are listed here. Do ensure you're within 2.5 kilometres of home though during a lockdown. Otherwise, be active at home using these YouTube videos. You could also set up your own obstacle course inside or modify your favourite sport to play in the backyard.
Eating nourishing meals
Cook easy recipes with the ingredients that you may currently have in your pantry or refrigerator. Fruits, vegetables, lean meats, chicken, fish, legumes, rice, pasta, bread and cereals could be good options.
