%%You know the weird questions that friends love to ask while playing a game of what ifs; what would you do if you're trapped on an desert island? So you're not actually a castaway here, but close enough!

It happened once ... no, ... twice to me, we were changing apartments and I was sitting in a house with no sound but the neighbors and a jammed door - there was no phone service, no internet connection and no cable.%%

After a deep sky gaze, talking to a wandering pigeon in the balcony and brushing my hair back and forth several times; I decided to get creative and kill this turtle time clock;

Be your own coach; improvise some body exercising routines, rushing blood through your veins and getting a little close to healthy living.

Book worm; read any book lying around even if it is a cookbook, so you get to learn a new dishes to cook.

Meditate; free your mind, which at this point should be easy; close your eyes and try to imagine the best place you've been to and orb there.

Write your own dairy; you can write about your childhood crushes, your embarrassing situations, your day to day mother-baby adventures (if you have one). Who knows, it might be your first step to writing a novel - you could be the next J.K Rowling!

Revamp your wardrobe; it's the best time for you to sort out what fits and what doesn't, arrange your undies by colour, and fill the charity bag. You can also re-arrange your makeup kit, sorting what's been expired and what's this season color - believe me it's a great time eater.

Make a to do before list; I am not talking about your wish list here, it's the things you will love to do in the long run like; bungee-jumping, horseback riding, running your own business - whatever you want. Simply write your cravings and places to visit; it's really fun and motivational.

Phone screening; Go through all your cellphone messages old and new; reminisce over the silly things you sent to your friends or the sweet things you husband used to send you. You can also turn on your photo slideshow or edit them. It's a good back in time tech.

Pamper yourself; give yourself a pedicure and manicure or a long hot snooze in a bubbly bathtub.

Treat yourself to a nice brunch; French toast, scrambled eggs, some bacon and a glass of orange juice or a cup of coffee. You can enjoy it under the sun in the balcony.

Cleaning round-up; try washing those two mugs in the kitchen, vacuum the house, dust the shelves, organise your fridge, and do the laundry.

Be your own audit; it's time to get out your receipts and start calculating what was spent and what is there to save.

Kitchen queen; you can cook a new easy thing like an instant pack of crème caramel for instance and all it needs is milk and round cups or you can prepare half cooked dishes for the whole week saving you future time in the kitchen.

Take a nap; of course, after all these tasks you'd probably feel tired and it's time to take an afternoon nap.

I don't know about you, but by the time I finished re-arranging my wardrobe, time flew and my husband came from work and set me free.
