Watching television out of boredom is not healthy, especially if it is all bad news. I have always said that there should be "happy" news at least once a day ads our stress and anxiety ends up going sky high.
The following is a list of what one may do instead, from a hobby to giving clothes away from your closet.
Learn a new hobby, maybe check at the local library for the next class.

Get tomorrow's breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks ready.
Organize your recipes.
Clean the bathroom.
Wash your bedding and then make your bed.
Clean out the fridge.
Do your nails.
Put on make-up.
Fix your hair.
Listen to music.
Watch a YouTube video.
Do a random act of kindness or pay it forward.
Work a side gig.
Go through your closet and give away what you do not wear.
