The Yarra Valley is known as Victoria's premier wine region, but did you know the region has so much more to offer?

While I love wine, there are so many other things you can do on your trip to the region that you many not have even heard of.

Some of my favourites include:

1. A visit to Raynor's Orchard.
Jump on the back of a tractor and be taken around the fully operational orchard that grows 360 varieties of fruit! On this tour you'll be treated to samples of some of the freshest produce you'll ever taste, plus there's lots of goodies to take home after the tour ends.

2. Pamper yourself at Natskin Day Spa
Who doesn't love a massage on a weekend getaway? Well, the treatments at Natskin Day Spa (located at Balgownie Estate) are sure to send you into a world of bliss and relaxation. Plus the views from the venue are to die for.

3. Beer and cider tastings at Napoleon Brewery.
If wine's not your thing, tastings at Napoleon's stunning venue (part of Meletos) are sure to keep you feeling a part of the festivities.

4. Appreciate the natural surrounds by horseback with Yarra Valley Horse Trails.

They offer a variety of rides for beginners and experienced riders that take in the beauty of the 300 acre Christmas Hills property.

5. Taste test the best cheeses in the region at Yarra Valley Dairy.
This popular destination offers an awesome selection of taste testing of their yummy cow and goat cheeses. They also have a small seating area where you can enjoy a cheese platter and a glass of wine.
