San Francisco is one of the most visited states in the United States. It is ranked 44th as the top visited tourist destinations in the world. Summer in the city is known to be cool hence pleasant for walking around and exploring the many attractions the city is famous for. Some of the best places to visit are:

1. Golden Gate Bridge

Spanned across the Golden Gate connecting headlands of San Francisco Peninsula and Marin Peninsula, the Golden Gate bridge is one of the most iconic structures in the world. It was also claimed to be the most photographed bridge.

The American Society of Civil Engineers has declared the bridge as one of the Wonders of the Modern World. Built in 1937 and completed in 1937, the bridge now carries six lanes with a total length of 2.7km. Red was selected as the color of the bridge not only to complement the natural surroundings but also to enhance the bridge's visibility in fog. The best way to visit the bridge is via public transit as parking is extremely limited.
