Go to the movies
On Tuesdays, the prices of cinema tickets are cheaper. Explore cinemas like
Luna Palace which also hosts film festivals.
Ride scooters
Discover your city without any inhibitions. All you need is a C-class driver's license and away you go.
Join in local events, conferences and shows
Look up
Event Brite which showcases a range of events that you can attend.
Learn a new language
For $190, you could be sitting in a classroom in
Central Tafe conversing away in your newly acquired language.
Dance Zumba
You do not need a dancing partner to learn the latest zumba moves which mixes aerobics with dances like salsa, merengue and hip hop. Classes start from $10.
Watch planes
The international airport has opened a
viewing area where you can sit idly and watch as the world goes by.
$20 Challenge
Set aside $20 and find the most that you can do with $20.
For example, $3 card, $5 fair trade coffee/chocolate, $4 muffin, $2.80 return bus ride, 50 cents stamp. With these set, you can head to your favourite cafe with the card that you bought which you can spend your time at the cafe writing to a friend which you have not seen in ages while enjoying a guilt free hot drink and sweet treat. And post it with the stamp that you pre-purchased.
Cycle around the bridges
From $20, you can hire a bike from
Cycle Centre and cycle along the swan river at your own pace.
