Plenty to see and do
Montville is always a good place to spend time. Situated on the Blackall Range halfway between Maleny and Mapleton, it is a lovely drive to get there and there is plenty to do and see once you arrive.
Here is a small selection of some of my favourite shops:
MONTVILLE ART GALLERY
The range of fabulous art in this gallery is amazing. There is always a wide range of styles lots of local work. This month's artist is Kendall who creates bright colourful pieces. There were lots of typical Queensland scenes and architecture, some really interesting aboriginal style art and more. To be honest I didn't stay long because I had a serious case of the 'I wants' and thought it safer for my wallet to leave.
By the way if you ever wanted to own a gallery, this one is for sale
WILD ROCKET BISTRO I love this cafe. You can sit on the verandah, inside or in the courtyard where there is often entertainment. The food is excellent, the service is friendly and it has a relaxing atmosphere.
Delicious food, relaxing atmosphere and entertainment
Most of my shoes come from this shop - what higher praise can I offer? They stock interesting, well made, comfortable shoes. The service is excellent. They also sell pennies - loose or made into magnets. Cute and lucky!
