Arugam Bay is an exciting surfing location, where the wind, swell, direction, tides, and seafloor meet, professionals and amateurs like it the same. Swim and Surf

Watch the sun rise above sandy beaches and the sparkling Ocean. Walk along the sand with the locals, or head to Surfers Paradise for seaside fun and easy access to drinks and ice cream. If surfing is your thing, catch the amazing waves at the surfing spots, you can even get lessons if you've always wanted to learn.

Dolphin Watching
This is a tourist attraction. Dolphin watching tours are done early mornings.

Driving through the Panama Tank
Driving through the Panama Tank on a rented Scooter is an outright. It's a short 15-20 minute ride from Arugam Bay, and there's fundamentally only one way to drive along and explore. The scene is stunning and ideal for taking photographs, and if you are lucky you will get to see a couple of crocodiles.

Potuvil Lagoon
Here you can get a visit with a nearby angler who will bring you through the mangrove swamps which shimmer with tropical winged animals, reptiles and even elephants.

Friday nights at Whiskey Point should not be missed. People gather around, great music, and lots of dancing. Once the party starts, you'll be glad you went.

You won't go hungry when you visit the Beach area. All restaurants are located on the main street which is around 2 km long and they're worth exploring!

Historical Sites
Don't miss to visit the Muhudu Maha Viharaya, built over 2000 years ago by King Kavan Tissa, these coastal ruins are still impressive and definitely worth seeing. Ancient stupas and statues surround the temple, including stone figures of Lord Buddha and of the old kings.

Lose Track of Time
Arugam Bay is the perfect destination to lose track of time as it helps your mind shift into the travelling mentality. Days can turn into weeks in Arugam Bay and seriously, It can be really hard to leave.

Arugam Bay makes a perfect place for several adventures for planning your next office trip. During the off-season (November to April) things get very quiet but it can be a beautiful time to visit, with few tourists and glistening green landscapes.
