Wear yourself out with these tips
Having trouble getting rest at bedtime? There are experts who say to just lay there. Some experts say after 20 to 30 minutes, if you cannot fall asleep, to not just lay there but to get up and do something! Personally, I get up and do something. Often, I get up, have something to drink and perform a side hustle. If I am hungry, I feed myself.

The following are tips of things to do at bedtime if you just cannot get some rest.

Wash your face
Ladies, take off your make-up. Use a gentle soap. Personally, I use Noxzema.

Low impact exercise
Do something such as in-home walking or march in place.

Essential oil diffuser
Use a soothing essential oil. Personally, I like "rose".

Something small to eat
You could maybe have a bowl of cereal or something else light. How can you sleep on an empty stomach?

Something to drink
I do not care what the experts say. Personally, if I cannot sleep, I often have a mocha. If you crave a cup of coffee, do not lay there and think about a cup of coffee non-stop! Have one!

Layout tomorrow's clothes
Get out tomorrow's shirt, pants, underwear, bra, socks and shoes. In the morning, after your shower or bath, just slip on.

Prepare tomorrow's breakfast and lunch
If you work at home, preparing is easy. However, if not, have your meals prepared and in the fridge to grab and go.

Listen to something
Listen to the radio, an audiobook, a fan or even white noise on YouTube.

Watch something
Get on YouTube and watch away!

Do part of a craft
Color a coloring book, work on a wreath, make a motivation board, etc.

Pray
Personally, I pray the Virgin Mary and cannot get through a day without her.

Write in a journal
Keep a pen and paper, a tablet or even your laptop near your bed and write what comes to mind. Do you have anxiety? Stress? Do you feel grateful? What are your feelings?

Meditate
Go to your happy place! Would you like to be at the beach? Would you like to be at a quaint cottage in the middle of winter? Think happy thoughts.

Write down your grocery list
Don't wait until your pantry is bare! Write down your essentials.

Clip coupons
There is such a good feeling when you save money.

5-minute tidy ups
Personally, I learned about 5-minute tidy ups on YouTube by a woman named ClutterBug. Instead of stressing yourself out, clean and organize your house 5 minutes at a time.

Write a letter or prepare a greeting card
There is no shame in sending a letter or greeting card in the good 'ol U.S. Mail!

Set your alarm
Last but not least, don't forget to set your alarm!

These tips are not that difficult. The tips are just like a little bedtime to-do list. Personally, I do not want to lay there and waste my life away. I want to accomplish whatever I can.

Finally, you should have no more troubles at bedtime. By performing a lot of these tips, most likely you are going to wear yourself out and finally get some rest.
