Check out this variety of events happening at Rockhampton Museum of Art in January 2023. Rockhampton Museum of Art is located at 220 Quay Street Rockhampton, overlooking the Fitzroy River. When you reach the top level of this building, look through its big windows and have a glimpse at the heritage buildings around the museum.

Footprints Tours - Summer Sessions**
With this tour, you can learn more about Summer's Footprints First Nations exhibition featuring House of Cards; Legacy: Reflections on Mabo and Collection Focus: The Colour of Country. With a First Nations guide, you will explore the significance of the Mabo Decision from Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous artists. This tour is suitable for everyone and all ages. The tour will be on Wednesday, 11 January 2023 and Saturday, 14 January 2023, starting from 10am to 11am. Book here for $10.00 general admission.

Art Adventure
Art adventure is an interactive tour through the art museum filled with activities and games to inspire young creatives to become art makers or even art experts! This 30 minute tour is $4.5/participant and is best suited for children aged 4 to 10. In Art Adventure, children will be exposed to different kinds of artwork. After the tour, children and carers are invited to continue art making in program room spaces. Children must be accompanied on the tour by an adult. The tour will be on Friday 13 January and Friday 27 January 2023, starting at 10am. Please book here .

Messy Mornings
Would you like to spend some quality time nurturing your little ones while exploring and creating art in a relaxed social setting? Book in for the Messy Mornings program at Rockhampton Museum of Art and you will have the chance to interact with your little one with messy play guided by a qualified Artist Educator. This program is designed to enrich children's creativity and awareness of the visual world around them whilst also helping to develop fine motor skills that are suitable for children aged up to 5 years old. The $13 fee includes all materials and admission for the child and their parent/carer. Messy Mornings will be on 16, 23 and 30 January 2023, starting from 9.30am to 10.15am.

Yoga in the Gallery
Nicky Way is a freelance writer who is passionate about yoga and the impact that it has on improving health and wellbeing. Enrich and extend yourself holistically at Rockhampton Museum of Art's Yoga in the Gallery class. Experience the collection and touring exhibitions while enjoying a meditative yoga session on Saturday 28 January 2023 from 8am to 9am. Book here for a $12 admission fee.
