Enjoy the day the right way
Ho ho ho! It's that time of year yet again. What's the bet that it will either be scorching hot or freezing cold in Adelaide for Christmas Day? We never seem to hit the temperature at a happy medium.

Either way, there's no better way to celebrate the day than in true South Australian style.

1) Drink wine

A real South Aussie will drink local beer and wine on Christmas Day. Crack open the Penfolds or the Bird in Hand and drink lots of it. Maybe a little too much.

2) Brag about the upcoming holiday

Every opportunity is a perfect opportunity to brag about how the shack on Yorkes is coming along, or the holiday rental you scored on the Fleurieu.

3) Begin AFL banter

It's only 98 days until the next AFL season begins. And Uncle John across the table is a Port Adelaide fan. No better time to convince him that the Crows are in for the 2017 Premiership.

4) Complain about the pre-Christmas activities

The parents of young children in the family will no doubt mention how they got poured on at this year's Christmas Pageant. Or, they'll mention the ridiculous line up they waited in for a photo with Santa in Myer.

5) But seriously - Gift SA products

There's no excuses not to be purchasing South Australian products for presents. You can get choccies from Haighs or Melbas, or handmade treasures from local markets.
