Dining on the Edge @ Thelma & Louise

Thelma & Louise Waterfront Cafe at Neutral Bay Wharf
For those of you who haven't seen the 1990s movie, you won't know what I'm talking about. Others will say I'm taking a little poetic licence. It's all a matter of how you look at things.

Looking out across the Bay
Although we're not in Hollywood or on the edge of the Grand Canyon, Thelma & Louise Cafe is perched on the edge of a beautiful bay and serves tucker in keeping with what one would expect from a rustic, cliff-side eatery.
Escapism aside, here is a place where you can savour yummy muffins and cookies with aromatic coffee while ferries and buses transport rushing workers to their offices and tourists to the City.

Lots of lovely things to take-away if you don't have time to eat in
The linger longer set, who come for breakfast or lunch, includes the self-employed who do business in cafes, girlfriends catching up for a natter, and retirees who stay fit exploring the harbour foreshore before hopping the next ferry to continue their enervating walk.

The Kitchen - for all to see
Food is simple, tasty and healthy. Most of the produce is either organic or locally grown. They say " herbs, passionfruit, pumpkins, & eggplants are grown in our garden".

The sweet treats are to die for. Check out the
Breakfast and Lunch Menu, or pop in to the takeaway counter to be tempted with both sweet and savoury.
Open for breakfast and lunch, weekdays 7 am to 5 pm, and weekends: 8 am to 5 pm. From my experience, getting a table for Sunday lunch was not difficult, but breakfast is always busy on weekends, so call ahead of time.
