With more than 450 events in a massive 2022 program, Melbourne Fringe Festival (6-30 Oct 2022) has spread its entertainment wings to Theatre Works Festival Hub at 14 Acland St (Corner St Leonard's Ave), St Kilda (03) 9534 4879. Some of the shows are also held at the Explosives Factory , Rear Laneway 67 Inkerman St, St Kilda (behind the Thrifty-Link accessed via Lyell and Market Streets - both off Inkerman). Head to the website to find Fringe shows , which also includes a show that's part of the Victorian Seniors Festival (1-31 Oct 2022), so there really is something for everyone. Book your tickets early so as not to be disappointed.

With a jam-packed program, you can celebrate Melbourne Fringe's 40th year with a bang, right here in St Kilda. Local, national and international works will take over Theatre Works with full scale musicals, brand new scores, interactive clown shows, gut wrenching dramas and perhaps questions about love in You're A Catch! Why Are You Single?

Kicking off with the aforementioned You're A Catch! Why are you Single? from 4-8 Oct 2022, it deals with the age old question from relatives put to you every time they meet you at a family gathering. Well, it's Christmas once again and Becky has to face the hoard of rellies questioning her love life, or lack thereof. As she explores the world of 21st century dating, you'll meet an eclectic group of characters who tell their own story and showcase the highs and lows that go along with being alone. When Christmas rolls around once more, will anything be different for Becky? Come find out.

Everyman & His Dog that's part of the Victorian Seniors Festival was somewhat inspired by the expression itself, and is a gentle yet moving reflection on the meaning of life and love. It'll send you out into the night with a sense of having journeyed to the heart of what it is to be human. This is a compelling human story for everyone, not just the seniors. Scour the website for more fantastic shows not to be missed, and to support the Arts and our Artists. Aside from the Fringe program, do check out Theatre Work's 2022 Season shows that run through to the end of the year.

Theatre Works run many an event to cater to everyone, kids included. They've had their Little Legends Children's Theatre Festival running for the September School holidays and it's now coming to an end with just one more show to go. Get your tickets before Unsorted comes to an end on 1 October 2022. It's a wildly energetic physical theatre and comedy just the way kids love it, set in the fantastical world of the Clothings, with Jacket the self-appointed leader. This is one that celebrates everyone's right to identity, inclusion and belonging, a lesson so important to growing minds.

In other news, diversity its name, you will also find the Spring Makers Market on Sat 1 October 2022 at 14 Acland Street from 9am onwards. A boutique selection of stalls, live music and the Blackbox Cafe & Bar serving the best St Ali coffee in St Kilda. Come on down and enjoy the tunes and the vibes. As you can see from the image below, Blackbox extends itself to theatre related material of the intellect. Help them build their library for a free coffee or tea in exchange for donations of theatre books.
