If you have a toddler, then it is very possible you have heard of The Wiggles. It is also very possible that your toddler is obsessed with the group. If they are then you have the opportunity to take them to see Emma, Lachy, Simon and Anthony perform live on Monday 31 August, at Dreamworld.

The gates open at 10am and the live show starts at 11am on a stage at Main Street, which is just by the entrance. The way the stage has been set up - thin long street - it does get really busy and fill up quickly so if you want to be at the front then you will need to get there early and queue. There are big screens to watch the performance, but let's face i, that's not as good as seeing the real thing - you can watch on a screen at home.

I would advise giving yourself a little more travel time, as the road leading into the park was very slow moving and busy - the busiest I have seen it and I have been to Dreamworld during various peak times throughout the year.

If you have an annual or monthly pass then admission is free as it is included in the pass - no special ticket is required. If not, then the show is included in the day admission ticket, although if you live locally or plan to visit again, getting a pass is much more cost effective. You can also save money by booking online.

I took my daughter - then 15 months - to their performance in March this year, but I wasn't prepared for how busy it was. Although we arrived just as the gates were opening, we ended up right at the back and watched them on the big screen. It wasn't the intimate performance I would have liked for her, but she still enjoyed listening to the songs and wiggling away, and doing the moves and actions with the other adults and kids.

My advice would be to treat the live show as an really good addition and have the mind set of of heading there to spend the day, rather than going just for the show.

Apart from the show, there is loads of fun to be had for kids, with the recently opened ABC Kids World - complete with loads of Wiggles rides and shows, plus Bananas in Pyjamas, Giggle and Hoot and Playschool themed interactive fun.

The Wiggles characters including Wags The a Dog, Dorothy The Dinosaur, Henry The Octopus and Captain Feathersword will be making regular appearances throughout the park where you can get up close and personal and have a photo and a cuddle.

There is also a regular Dorothy The Dinosaur show which is good as they sing and dance to some of the favourite Wiggles songs. The stage show is set in a huge toddler playroom with slides, climbing blocks, activities, play houses and more.

Dreamworld is open seven days a week from 10am till 5pm - it is about a 30 minute drive from Surfers Paradise. It's easy to get there and well signposted - you take the Coomera exit off the M1 Pacific Motorway.

If your child loves The Wiggles then it's worth taking them, but just be mindful of how popular they are and therefore how busy it can get.
