For many of us, The Wiggles reminds us of fond memories from our childhood. Rekindle these magic moments with The Wiggles this spring at the Powerhouse Museum by joining them for the celebration of their 20th anniversary.

"We're really honoured to have an exhibition based on our career. We spend a lot of time travelling the world but Sydney is our home so that makes the exhibition even more special. We might even learn something about ourselves we don't know!" said Murray Cook, member of The Wiggles.

Learn about The Wiggles props, costumes, musical instruments, posters and awards while your kids get engulfed with their contaminative humour, fun and music in a colorful and interactive environment.

Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Henry the Octopus and Wags the Dog will also feature in the exhibition.

"Anthony, Murray, Jeff and Sam and the characters they have created are a part of the lives of so many children. This wonderful new exhibition will bring the magic of The Wiggles' story to life in a uniquely interactive environment that is exciting and engaging for all ages," said Director of the Powerhouse Museum, Dr Dawn Casey.

Originated from Sydney in 1991,The Wiggles are a children's musical group which combines music with early childhood educational concepts to produce television series, live shows and concerts.

Hugely popular among children and their parents, The Wiggles are rated as the most successful preschool television program on the ABC channel.

According to its official website, "The Wiggles are a unique and dynamic musical group who entertain children, enchanting them with the pure joy of their own music and dance. Instantly recognised in their distinctive skivvies, the friendly foursome have been said to be the major force in moving children`s entertainment away from the traditional and into the contemporary area, in a strong positive fashion."

In February 2008, The Wiggles were named as UNICEF GOODWILL AMBASSADORS and helped raising funds at the Sydney Entertainment Centre in May 2008 by performing in a special charity concert.

Follow the Wiggles on Facebook for more information on their upcoming events and concerts.

I'd love to take my nieces along to see this, unfortunately I think it is just a bit too far away for us to drive up from Adelaide.

I do think that the wiggles are such a huge part of Australian television and childrens entertainment history, and they definitely deserve their own exhibition. Bravo!

Unfortunately, I've not known The Wiggles in my childhood since I've not been in Australia at that time but ever since I've come here, my kids have become die hard fans.
