A Hidden Gem On The Rocks
Right off the central area on The Rocks but tucked away into a side lane, the Vintage Cafe is a hidden gem. This was the first time I visited this cafe on the recent weekend. I was impressed with all aspects of the place: the decor, the food quality, the atmosphere and the service.
The historic decor is filled with a series of the photographs in the old days, surrounded by sandstone walls. The place is interestingly contrasted with the modern wooden tables, adding a touch of difference to this place.
I ordered the lunch special, which included a dish of barramundi with green leaf and potatoes, and a complimentary glass of house wine. The food was presented well and tasted delicious. The atmosphere was inviting and relaxing especially when the live music played. I wasn't expecting this, which was a delightful surprise.
