June Volunteer Session #2


We all need a little helping hand now and again in our lives and you may well be surprised at how paying it forward can make a difference in your life too. Straight up, The Village Co are looking for volunteers to help out new mums in SA, so they know they are not alone and there's someone who cares about them.

Taking place at Healthy Living Precinct, 16-20 Hindmarsh Avenue, Welland on Tuesday 15 June 2021 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm ACST, please register to give 2 hours of your time to help sort and pack donations while having a great time meeting new people or catching up with friends who are like-minded and generous of heart. More and more women in South Australia are experiencing homelessness, are the victims of domestic and family violence, or are battling mental health issues. They have the constant demands of a newborn, yet they don't have a safe place to live, the basic necessities of food and hygiene items, and have limited or no support.

Having all these issues on top of being a brand new mum and feeling scared and all alone may be unimaginable without having walked in their shoes perhaps, but one thing is clear. They need practical help and to know that someone cares. These are the women The Village Co supports and they cannot do it alone without the help of volunteers. You'll find a few testimonies on the registration page to read that shows you what an impact it has on the recipients. Please help.
