Surrounded by so many great restaurants, sometimes The View is overlooked and not given the chance it deserves. The staff are hardworking even during the busiest of periods and despite sometimes mediocre service, deserve a special mention. It cannot be easy to serve a lot of customers with a smile, especially when they are being called to do one million things at once. However they do the best they can and do so with a smile which cannot be an easy feat to manage. After all, let's face it, they are certainly not the worst anyone has ever seen.

The View Restaurant is situated in the Fishing Boat Harbour area of Fremantle and has a gorgeous view of the ocean and the harbour. Watch the sunset as you enjoy your meal or a drink with friends. With the Fremantle Doctor breezing in, the fresh air keeps this open restaurant feeling relaxed, natural and inviting.

The menu consists largely of seafood dishes, but also has chicken and steak dishes on offer and plenty of side dishes to choose from. You're sure to find something to enjoy. With the entrees starting at around the $12.00 mark for Bruschetta or Soup of the Day at $12.50, this may not be an everyday restaurant, however if you're looking for something special or something a little bit fancy then you can't go wrong with The View.

For main meals why not consider the Barramundi Fillet ($36.00), the Seafood Plate ($44.00) or the Grilled Salmon ($32.00). If you are not a fan of seafood then there are plenty of other options available to suit even the most picky of palates. The desserts are yummy, especially the Strawberry Tartlet, which at an impressive $14.00 may sound like a lot you have to consider the fact that it does not just come as a single solitary strawberry tart, it is also served with a delicious side of crème anglaise which is a wonderful addition to the delightful end of your meal. There are also daily specials available.

If you don't want a full meal there are options available from the Cocktail Menu. Assorted cold or warm canapés, dessert canapés or a dessert platter to choose from and enjoy with a cocktail. This makes it the perfect place to drop into after work to unwind or the next time you are trying to impress clients, take them to The View. The relaxed atmosphere that comes from the bar area makes it a perfect place to talk business or seal that important business deal.

For special events at The View Restaurant, such as Christmas or New Year's Eve, there are set menus available with varying prices. No matter which menu you choose the food is exceptional and the ambiance is electric. With a wonderful view of the ocean, especially at sunset, the next special event you attend at The View will promise to have an elegant and refined vibe to it.

Perhaps you're looking for a place to hold you next function for work or even a birthday or wedding - The View Restaurant can cater to your every need. When you are planning your next function or corporate event make sure to seriously consider The View Restaurant. With wonderful food, great staff and an even better view, this restaurant will make your next event one to remember. However make sure to book well in advance as this restaurant is quite popular.

The View Restaurant is fully licensed and they have an extensive wine list. The meal portions are generous and the prices are moderate. The service is good and the staff are very helpful and friendly. There are indoor and outdoor dining areas so you can dine in a sublime setting all year round. If you do happen to attend during summer, make sure to get a table outside as the view of a clear blue sky over the calm ocean is a truly unique experience and the sight of a majestic sunset is breathtaking.
