Three years in the making, world master puppet makers - the Puppet Kitchen - have created a colourful stage show of animal life using 75 puppets. Puppet Kitchen are winners of four Daytime Emmy awards and alumnus from Jim Henson's Muppet Workshop.
The fifty minute show is based on four of Eric Carle's colourful animal tales: The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Mr. Seahorse, The Very Lonely Firefly and The Artist Who Painted A Blue Horse.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar was first published in 1969, but is still delighting children around the world. It has sold 30 million copies worldwide and sells the equivalent of a copy per minute since its first publication. No matter how many years have passed since you last read a picture book, this engaging puppet show will fill you with pure juvenescent joy.
Very Hungry Caterpillar merchandise, including books, t-shirts, tote bags and toys, will be available in the foyer before and after the show. A selection of signed lithographs from Eric Carle Studios will be on display. There will also be an activity zone for kids to create their very own hungry caterpillar after the show.
