We have been waiting a long time for this one, haven't we? It's been twelve years (wow) since we were first told that the Vengabus was coming. We have not yet seen it. Maybe you're like me, and almost at the point of giving up. "When is the Vengabus coming exactly?" I have asked time and time again.

Well, you can now dust off your bus pass, because the Vengabus really is coming, with the Vengaboys on board.



If there is one song I remember from my high school days, it's the Vengaboys smash hit 'We Like to Party'. School discos weren't the same without this tune being turned, and my legs certainly weren't satisfied until they tapped around to the Vengaboys beats.

I owned the album known as 'The Party Album' on cassette, and was rather satisfied at my purchase when I found it at the old King Kong store in the city at a discount price. I played it in my old Ford Falcon for years until it conked out at a set of lights, never to run again. Rest in Peace bright yellow Ford Falcon minus two hub caps. But I digress.



Believe it or not, this Eurodance pop group had more than one hit. You might also remember 'Boom Boom Boom Boom' and 'We're Going to Ibiza'. But wait. It wasn't until I really looked in to it that I realised there were even more. Remember 'Kiss (When The Sun Don't Shine)', and 'Shalala la la'? They were all about the party weren't they? Which is why I'm sure many, many 20-something's are going to be pumped about this one.



These days, the Vengaboys are no doubt living off the hits they had in the 90's. And on top of that, releasing new material.

I can't imagine it has the same impact on the kids these days as it did back when I was young, but I'm sure there are many dance anthem enthusiasts out there that would enjoy this one.

In fact, 15 million record sales worldwide would prove they have made quite an impact indeed.

So now begs the question, "When is the Vengabus coming?"

Perth, the bus will be pulling in for you to jump on board on Friday January 20, 2012.
Destination? Metropolis Fremantle, with doors opening at 8pm.
