I am always looking out for new experiences, wherever I may find myself.
You get to complete this fun run dressed as Santa
With so many fun runs around, it takes something special to stand out, but the Variety Santa Fun Run does just that. On these runs, usually around 4 or 5 kilometres long, participants are all dressed in a five-piece Santa suit!
The fun runs will be taking place all around Australia on Sunday December 1, with the exception of Gerladton where it will be held a week later. All of the events raise money through registrations and participant fundraising for Variety – the Children's Charity, an organisation dedicated to empowering the country's sick, disadvantaged and special needs children.
The harbour city's 5 kilometre fun run will start at Palm Grove in Darling Harbour at 8.30am and head through the city for a finish at the Sydney Opera House. It's worth doing all you can too; not only does you money go to a good cause, but in some cities, prizes will be awarded to the highest fundraisers, as well as in categories like 'first male to finish' and 'first female to finish'.
