Wetlands teaches children uses of plants on track walk
Oh, to be five years old again and have the opportunities available in today's world for children!
On Saturday 12th June 2021 from 10.00 am to 11.30am, children are invited to join the Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre educators for a guided and gentle one hundred metre Tulla-yugaipa dhagun track, where they will learn about the traditional uses of native plants and other wetland resources.
This event is FREE, however, children must be accompanied by an adult and register to attend through Eventbrite. Be quick, there are only 15 places left!
Please remember to wear fully enclosed walking shoes, sun-smart clothing wide-brimmed hat and bring drinking water, snacks, sunscreen and insect repellent. If you are staying on for a picnic lunch, please note there are no food outlets at the centre, so you will also need to BYO.
If the event needs to be cancelled because of inclement weather conditions, everyone who has registered through Eventbrite will be notified. The meeting point for all attendees will be at the Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre, 31 Paperbark Drive, Boondall.
