The United Ukrainian Ballet is bringing the internationally beloved production Swan Lake to Australia as we've never seen before.



After highly reviewed performances of Giselle at the London Coliseum, the United Ukrainian Ballet will touch down in Australia this October to perform the world's most loved ballet, Swan Lake. With shows in Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney, the majestic production of Swan Lake promises to be the most emotional dance performance of the year.

United by the tragedy of war, the United Ukrainian Ballet Company consists of over 60 refugee Ukrainian soloists, ensembles, creatives and technicians. Supported by the United Ukrainian Ballet Foundation, the Foundation was founded to protect, support and spread Ukrainian culture since the war in Ukraine.



At the helm of the United Ukrainian Ballet is Igone de Jongh, former Dutch National Ballet principal dancer. Alexi Ratmansky, one of the most prominent figures in the industry, joins in an advisory role.

The United Ukrainian Ballet comprises notable names and award-winning dancers from some of the most prestigious ballet houses in Ukraine, including, The National Opera of Ukraine, Kharkiv Opera Theatre, and Odesa Opera and Ballet Theatre.



The Foundation makes the production and presentation of an artistic program possible, providing financial support to the United Ukrainian Ballet Company. It also provides ongoing training and employment to Ukrainian dancers who have fled the war, aiming to enable dancers to resume cultural activities in Ukraine as soon as practical.

The newly formed ballet company is situated in The Hague, Netherlands, at the Dutch Centre for Ukrainian Dancers. The centre is housed in the former Royal Conservatoire building, generously supported by local businesses and the Netherlands government. The centre provides the ballerinas with housing, basic equipment and trainers to ensure the continual development of their form, safeguarding the future of ballet in Ukraine.



The United Ukrainian Ballet's Swan Lake is set to be a powerful and moving interpretation of one of the most revered ballets. The production is made possible through the generous support of benefactors, including Amare Cultural Precinct, SENF Partners, and the Royal Conservatoire. A portion of each ticket sold on the Australian tour will be donated to The United Ukrainian Ballet Foundation to support Ukrainian artists and aid in the future rebuilding of Ukraine's cultural heritage.
