The Unicorn Whisperer is the tenth book in Dana Simpson's series about Phoebe, the human girl, and her friend Marigold Heavenly Nostrils, the unicorn. You could read this one first if you liked, since there isn't much of an ongoing story, but I recommend going back and reading the other books as well because they're a lot of fun.





In this volume, Phoebe holds a slumber party, with her friend Max, and Marigold discovers the unicorn game 'Pokehumon Go'. For Halloween, Phoebe and Marigold dress up as the superhero, Claustrophoebea, and her nemesis, Pointyhead. Phoebe is delighted when Marigold temporarily grants her actual superpowers for the occasion.



The Phoebe and Marigold series is wholesome, sparkly fun for all ages. I know one 10-year-old who is going to be thrilled that this one will be out in plenty of time for Christmas and a 39-year-old who couldn't even wait for the publication date and requested an advanced copy from the publishers.
