Inspiring, witty, and very very special

The Two Of Us is an S-Troupe production that is so 'feel good' that you will find yourself smiling hours after the final song.

To say this group of Special Needs Actors are entertaining would be putting it mildly.

S-Troupe was formed in 1992 by Jan Paterson and a group of selfless helpers.

The troupe is part of the Ipswich Little Theatre Society and came about in order to give people with disabilities the opportunity to perform and learn theatre skills.

The actors and their helpers are full of joyful enthusiasm and what can only be described as adorably cheeky personality.

Last weekend they had the audience singing along and laughing quite loudly. I should probably take the opportunity to apologise, as yes that awful singing coming from the audience was me. In my defence I feel the playlist was strategically contagious.

The witty script and at times the actors tendency to 'improv' made it impossible not to laugh and enjoy the show.

The play has a running theme of 2. The Two Of Us is about famous pairs, duo's and couples throughout history. It comically places iconic characters such as Cleopatra on common day reality shows such as Farmer Wants a Wife.

S-Troupe can not only act but they also sing, dance and mime. I'm not sure that there is anything this heart moving troupe can't do.

The entry is $10 and the guarantee is an experience that will leave you feeling inspired, proud and soul fed.

There are three shows left, tickets can be booked online or at the door.

This is their Broadway and boy do they shine!
