Come to Toorak to see a play about Toorak. It's a bad pun, I know. It makes sense though.

The Toorak Rules
is the play by Andrew Joseph that is on until 24 November at St Martin's Theatre. This play is about all things Toorak circa 1950s. It is about posh dresses and accents, drinks in the afternoon at tennis matches at Kooyong. It is about love and adultery, secrets and sexism, love lost and love found. The play is about people finding love during WWII, only to lose it in great mansions with 'grounds' in Toorak.

The Toorak Rules
is an interesting travel in time. If you remember those times, come to reminisce. If you have never known these times, come to imagine and ponder.

Class divide, religious divide and sex divide - all come to play on stage. Some things we can still understand. Others we only gasp at and shake our heads.

The Toorak Rules
run nightly at St. Martin's Theatre, 44 St Martin's Lane, Melbourne 3141, until 24 November. Tickets are $42.50 and can be purchased HERE or at the door (cash only)
