From 7th to 11th October 2018, The Masters' Apprentices Photography Club Inc is holding a photographic event entitled " The Third I ". It is being held at the Richard Randall Art Studio, Mount Coot-tha with the opening event happening at 1.00pm on 7th October 2018. Entry is a gold coin donation with all proceeds will go to The Fred Hollows Foundation.

The Masters' Apprentices Photography Club Inc is a specialist interest group who explore advanced techniques in photography and challenge their skills to a more creative and emotive level. Their goal is also to look beyond the photograph, ask the purpose of the photograph while also challenging the light, exposure, angles and moods of the composition.

For this event, members have put together an interesting selection of imagery from documentary to abstract pieces allowing the imagery to connect with you and your thoughts. The explanation behind the title of " The Third I " is a gateway to higher thinking or a symbol of enlightenment and/or a recall of a memory through the imagery photographed that has a deep personal or psychological importance to the viewer and photographer. Photographers use their Third Eye along with inspiration, intuition and intellect to create their work and the imagery you will see at this exhibition.

All exhibited photographs are for sale, however, no EFTPOS is available. Purchases can be made via bank transfers with a collection of your purchased photographs to be arranged after the exhibition.

The Randall Art Studio is a heritage listed building located in Brisbane's Botanic Gardens, Mt Coot-tha Road Toowong. It was built in c1900 and is also known as Richard Randall's Studio. The studio was the residence of Richard Randell and was once situated at 72 Cordelia Street South Brisbane where it was used not only as a residence but also as an art studio, classroom and gallery. The building was relocated to the Brisbane Botanic Gardens in 2007. Richard won several awards for drawing and modelling with his watercolours included in the fine arts section of the Queensland National Association Exhibitions.

The exhibition will be open from Monday to Thursday 7th to 11th October 2018 from 10.00am to 4.00pm. For more information, you can contact Ann Ingham on 0434 006 606 or through their Facebook page. Everyone is welcome.
