A fantastic mix of drag, cabaret, and tomfoolery,
The Talents of Darkness provided audiences with a brilliant night that showcased fire spinning, fire eating, sideshow, and magic in a thoroughly entertaining form.
Hosted by striking drag queen
Bebe Tricx, we were blessed by her impeccable ability to craftily perform magic tricks with a sprinkle of sideshow talent, as she sweet-talked an audience member into giving up a $50 note, staple gun herself with any errors she may make, and still maintain a composure worthy of an applause.
There was a whole new level of heat brought into the show, thanks to new faces
Abyss and
Phoenix, who treated the audience to a spectacular fire spinning show individually, as they manipulated the flames and conspicuously blew our minds with their fire dancing skills. We were also treated to a lovely rendition of a wind-up doll by fan flow artist
Abyss and mad hula hooping skills by
Phoenix to the tunes of hip hop, each of which attracted waves of cheers and raves from well-entertained audience members.
Murderclown the Sane skillfully ate fire, set himself free from being tied down by enthusiastic audience members, and provided mischievous playfulness through his animated facial expressions, his witty charisma, and infectiously fun personality.
Sure, there were a couple of nerves showing on their opening night performance, but with a supportive and energetic crowd, they were able to play off the minor glitches with an attitude that resonated with a genuine passion to bring smiles, laughter, and awe to inquisitive spectators.
Each character has the WOW factor and a great stage presence, with their unique and vibrant set of skills that they collectively bring to
The Talents of Darkness, making them a lovable bunch of misfits, who are passionate about delivering a bloody good show! There is a high level of eccentricity that will leave you wanting more. It is lighthearted and bursting with essence, as it offers audiences with a taste of the best of the best in the form of a silly, amusing, and enchanting show.
Walk in with an open mind and expect the unexpected, because things get freaky deaky weird really quick and it's one of those classic Fringe shows that you need to experience to truly immerse yourself into the Fringe culture that we celebrate every year! Being a South Australian team of performers further adds a level of authenticity and uniqueness to
The Talents of Darkness, who are, indeed, brimming with talent and love to share their abilities to engross you into a fast-paced world of quality content.
