An iconic cultural event not to be missed

Take a stroll through history with the most exclusive range of Antiques, Art Deco, 20th Century Art and Vintage pieces across Interiors, Jewellery, Art and Fashion at the largest Sydney Fair to date.

The 5th annual Sydney Fair will launch with an Opening Night event on Thursday 25th May at the grand location of Royal Hall of Industries in Moore Park. The Fair will then run from Friday 26th May to Sunday 28th May 2017.

Across three and a half jam-packed days, this contemporary selling exhibition will feature more than 60 of Australia's leading Antique, 20th Century and Art Dealers, with each showcasing an unprecedented collection of unique, rare and collectable pieces from antiquities to contemporary art.

With a vast price range to appease all, attendees can expect affordable discoveries across Interiors, Fashion, Jewellery, Art, Lighting and Collectables. All pieces are authentic, attracting investors, collectors and general public with an eye for the rarest finds on the market.

The Sydney Fair 2017 is ideal for those who are currently redecorating - the mid to high range exhibitors will be offering distinctive furnishings from Antique to 20th Century to add whimsical character to home décor. Highlights include the impressive range from Lauder and Howard specialising in the unusual, the beautiful and the rare from 18th to 20th century, British & European furniture, glass, bronzes and porcelain to Virtanen-Antiques with Swedish Art Deco.

"Minimalism is making way for interiors of a more opulent, layered home, mixing the modern with the vintage, the precious with the bargain and adding pattern, texture and splashes of saturated colour," says event organiser Dianne Pickett.

Fashion lovers meanwhile will marvel at a Couture Exhibition of Evening Dresses from the 1920's and can nab unique style and vintage pieces for as little as $100, all the way up to designer vintage handbags by Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Dior. Attendees will be in awe of divine stones from jewellers like Karen Deakin Antiques and Elizabeth Kwan, who will display high-end engagement rings and fabulous antique to contemporary jewels.

And then there is everything else for the collector –glass from all eras and clocks, rugs, tribal art, ceramics from around the world from Ancient pieces through to Art Deco, Mid Century and Retro style.

The Sydney Fair is a far cry from your typical 'antiques roadshow' with Art Galleries showcasing Contemporary Art to Photography. Noteworthy exhibitors include Cooee Gallery and Becker Minty.

"You may walk away with a piece of history whose design and craftsmanship have withstood the test of time, improving its aesthetic character through its use. Antiques, Art and Vintage Couture are forever gorgeous investments," says Dianne.

Saturday will feature fashion parades and a 'best-dressed of the era' competition with the winner receiving a $500 gift voucher to be spent at the fair. Sunday will host live performance art filtered throughout the fair and a schedule of workshops from interior designers and antique experts.

The Sydney Fair is a rare opportunity to appreciate past era's rich in history and an iconic cultural event not to be missed.
