Swiss Club of Victoria

The Swiss Club of Victoria is a hidden treasure in the heart of the Melbourne CBD. In 1899 it was a meeting place in which Swiss immigrants and their friends and family would come together to enjoy traditional foods and music. It has now become a well established place which offers delicious Swiss foods such as cheese fondu, bradwurst sausages with Rosti and many enticing desserts. The service comes with a difference, as the chef and owner, Roger comes out and talks to the guests, which is refreshing.

To help celebrate the traditions of Switzerland, there are many events at the club for everyone and anyone, including their well known and national game, 'Jass' which is a card game with a difference. There are movie nights, ladies luncheons and Swiss folk dancing nights which allow you to feel part of the culture.

They have a newly renovated function room upstairs which caters for small intimate groups of 10 or for larger functions holding comfortably up to 120 people. It is modern space with the latest cooking amenities and will suit many different budgets for any event.

Thank you for the kind review. The Swiss Club of Victoria has always been a Swiss Social club that offers a restaurant as part of its facilities & events. The Swiss Club is run by volunteers and we are fortunate to have Roger and his friendly team manage the restaurant for us. We welcome new members and guests. Learn more at www.swissclubvic.com.au
