Looking for a nice place to catch up with friends? Tired of the same old coffee shop with burnt coffee and not enough choice of sweets and tasty treats? Welcome to the Sweet Spot, the home of numerous macarons, tiny tiramisu boats, rich raspberry mousse and lemon meringue pie to die for. Your only problem is how you will choose from the many delicious goodies displayed for your perusal.

You think the only decision is the food? Don't get me started on the drinks. Iced drinks and hot drinks, so much to choose. My favourite is the Freezacino, a type of iced coffee frappe. However it fills you up, so be careful. The coffee is decent, but given the amazing selection you have before you, you're better off saving your stomach on something to eat. And unfortunately, prices have been slowly rising that you probably wouldn't want to spend much more than a small tart.

is located at the Spot in Randwick, and has a sweet, quaint decor. With a delicate light blue colour scheme and cosy cushions to sit on, there's a nice homely atmosphere to the place. The staff are friendly, and the regulars are greeted warmly by the people who work there. It makes you feel like you're in some small country town.

There's lots of sitting room, though some of tables are awkwardly close together. The place is quite empty in the morning time, but gets very busy in the afternoons, particularly on the weekends. That's when the sugar kicks in and the five-year-olds go crazy. Nonetheless, it adds to the charming family atmosphere and the deliciousness of the desserts makes it worth it.
