It's Friday afternoon and you can feel all your weekday worries wick away as you drive home from work. You could go home, chuck on a face mask and eat an entire Sara Lee chocolate cake while binging
Brooklyn 99 - or you could head to West End and eat delicious street food while enjoying a view of the river.
Now, I won't judge you if you choose the first, but if the second option sounds good to you, read on.
The
Sunset Social market at West End runs the second and fourth Friday of the month, offering a... social experience, at... sunset. Twice a month, Davies Park is besieged by food trucks and fairy lights, creating a whimsical backdrop for you to chill out and take in the vibes.
Sunset Social provides a range of tastes from all over the world, with American BBQ, Thai street food and Italian pasta just a small sample. They're also fully licensed, just in case you weren't already chill.
As well as food, Sunset Social boasts live music, roving performers and other entertainment. Keep an eye on the
Facebook page for their themed market - over Easter, a circus theme included workshops and activities for children.
Speaking of the kiddies, Sunset Social has face painting, jumping castles and giant board games, for big kids and little kids alike. It's also doggo friendly, making it a good night out for the entire family.
