Coming together as a musical comedy act, identical twins Ben and James Stevenson perform hilarious songs such as Thanks 2015, I Slagged off my Best Friends Girlfriend, The Steps to Sex and my personal favourite Everything I know about Women.

In between songs the twins bounce off each other, arguing, picking on audience members and trying to outdo each other's jokes. They even keep a tally board to see who's funny and which type of is laugh achieved (from solitary laugh to orgasm).

There were a few mishaps in the show with sound difficulties and distractions, and some of the jokes took a little while to get to the punch line (the Breakfast show song in particular). But the duo were able to stealthy recover from any mistakes and instead incorporated them within their act, making it even funnier.

For example during the Breakfast Show song one audience member, Gail, fell off her chair from laughing so hard. Another audience member piped out and yelled, "There's your orgasm." Everyone was in hysterics. This little mishap threw the twins off and they almost lost control. But they recovered and used it to their advantage, making jokes and light banter with Gail throughout the rest of the act.

The underlining meaning of the show is finding the fun in disasters. I walked out with tears of laughter rolling down my cheeks and a really nice feeling that life isn't so bad, you've just got to look at the funny side of it.

So if you're looking for a good laugh this Fringe season, definitely check out The Stevenson Experience. As Gail will happily tell you, you'll be falling out of your seat laughing.
