[ADVERT]Carnivore's delight! Last Saturday night my husband and I and another couple dined at The Station Hotel. Our friends arranged it and had made a booking, which judging from the crowd would be a necessity.
The steak menu is what this place is famous for and deservedly so. I enjoyed 200g John Dee, Warwick (QLD) 100 day grain fed Black Angus 'flat iron steak' for $28. My husband hoed into 400g Castricum Bros (VIC) dry aged grass fed Black Angus rump steak for $38. Our friends chose 250g Sher Wagyu (VIC) 450 day grain fed Wagyu X Holstein rostbiff for $34 and a duck wrapped in pastry dish which I can't find on the menu so it may have come off the specials board. The steak dishes all came with the best chips I've ever eaten, huge and crispy, and fresh salad.
The waiters were delightful and lots of fun. Nothing seemed to be to much trouble for them and they were very attentive. Their website even has recipes for many of the items you enjoy there such as how to get your chips as good as theirs.
I recommend The Station Hotel for great food and service. You can book online too.
