Pope is obsessed with miniature roses and Joan of Arc. He is
also a stand-over man. You know, the guy who rocks up in the middle of the night and shatters your kneecaps when you can't pay up? Not pretty but, a job's a job.
Things where going all right until he came face to face with the kid who couldn't catch a break, and Pope's perfect little world started to fall apart.
The Standover Man is a raw and surprising modern-day fable set in a seedy criminal underworld where the magical and mundane are mixed with a hint of the maniacal.
Directed and devised by emerging playwright JD Messenger, featuring Mario Piccoli, Theo Messenger and Esther Longhurst.
From smiling assassins, to awkward first dates, ruthless drug-lords to dead saints,
The Standover Man, will leave you questioning who you really are.
Devised by award winning writer/director Jessica Messenger (
Rain, The Shoemaker's Daughter, Flesh Wounds), starring Mario Piccoli, Theo Messenger, Esther Longhurst and featuring Cellist Emma Hayes.
The Stand-over Man. Nothing is quite what it seems.
The Standover Man is produced by
Stained Glass Robot for the
