Life is about the journey - some roads are not always what they seem but you sure learn a great deal from them!
Forget the 'Tough Mudder' and try The Stampede! This event is fast becoming one of the most popular events among Australians. And, that is because it is Australian owned and operated.

The first event was held in 2011 and since then, this event has grown at exponential proportions. Course designs vary every year, and participants have a choice of a 5 km or 10 km loop. However, if you are feeling very fit, you can opt for the unlimited laps option. (not sure if I would sign up for that choice!)

Feel you can do more than one lap?

You can be assured that The Stampede will test your limitations both physically and mentally. And while new obstacles and challenges are introduced every year, this event is aimed at allowing people to compete without spending months training for it.

The Stampede
It is about fun - it is about friends!

You will experience mud, ropes, nets, and giant slides. I would imagine the latter being the best part of the course. And while people may wish to time themselves, this is not an event where trophies for first place are handed out. It is mostly about comradeship, friends and good time.

Entries to this event close on the 01 May 2015 and fees are $80.00 per person.

The slides looks like the best part of the course!

However, if you are short of cash you can volunteer and run in the event for free. You do, however, have to initially pay for the run, which will be reimbursed to you two weeks after you have completed your shift. Furthermore, volunteers will also be given lunch, a t-shirt, and parking. To find out more you can visit the volunteer page on the website.

I don't know about you, but this sounds like a great adventure just waiting to be experienced and it 'runs' all day!
