I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

The newest James Squires brewhouse is The Squire's Landing. Over 200 years ago, a convict named James Squire landed in this area with the first fleet and went on to become Australia's first brewer. The Squire's Landing is a two storey bar/restaurant containing a free-standing microbrewery with commanding views of the harbour.
The Barramundi ran out and was replaced by Kingfish for two of our party, which was pronounced equally delicious. I felt for $36 the serving size could have been a bit larger. The drinks list is very large and the prices are quite reasonable.
The restaurant area is the only area that takes reservations. The downstairs and upstairs brewhouse operate in a walk-in only basis. Please note that there is a credit card surcharge of 0.94% and a 10% surcharge for groups of nine or more.
